IGLOO SCHOLARSHIPS
The igloo building competition began in 2007 with one main goal. To entice children to consider a career in engineering by showing them how cool this profession can be.
As part of our mandate we have provided a scholarship to a deserving student entering into an Engineering program at a recognized University. This year our scholarships have been restructured to offer both high school graduates and university students a chance to be awarded a total of 3000$ in financial assistance.

The 2008 scholarships (GOLD = 1500$, SILVER = 1000$ and BRONZE = 500$)
have not yet been awarded. The deadline for applications has been set for February
17 2009. Since the 2008 scholarships were meant to be awarded to high school students, these awards are now only open to students who are currently enrolled in their first year of an Engineering program at a New Brunswick University (English or French).
Application deadlines for the 2009 scholarships have yet to be determined; they will be released at a later date.
Participation in the igloo building competition is NOT mandatory to be awarded a scholarship. However, students that have volunteered or participated in the competition are demonstrating and practicing their interest in Engineering and its applications to the real world, which strengthens their applications for this award.
